Dharma in the Community
Dharma strongly believes in giving back to the community by actively promoting the arts, supporting
charitable organizations and fostering the growth of our economy.
Urbana is our charitable fundraising party hosted annually with the goal of preventing
homelessness in Ottawa. The innaugural event in 2005 raised $20,000 and has since been our benchmark
annual contribution. As home builders, we believe that decent, safe, affordable housing should be
available to everyone. We hope that you share this vision and join us at our next Urbana party.
Dharma Arts is an online magazine devoted to showcasing and promoting our artists in Ottawa that
are making waves. Every great city on our planet has a vibrant arts community that has contributed to its
story. Art is a medium to explore and question our beliefs, celebrate our innovations and inspire
creativity. Art is not just a way to adorn our lives, but an integral part in designing our lives to be better.
December 1-10, 2009 - Food & Fund Drive in Support of the Stittsville Food Bank
Please help us ensure that every family in Stittsville and the surrounding areas of Ashton and rural Goulbourn
will have full stomachs and a happy holiday season. Dharma Developments food and fund drive for the Stittsville
Food Bank will be held at Orville Station – 1535 Main Street in Stittsville. Donations of non-perishable food items
can be dropped off Mon-Thurs from 12-5pm and Sat-Sun from 12:30-5pm. Donations of food or funds can also be
dropped off at Dharma Developments head office at 45 Armstrong Street between 8:30am and 4pm.
Dharma is
working with the Stittsville Food Bank to ensure that the needy
families in the Stittsville, Ashton and rural Goulbourn
communities get the assistance they require.
Sponsorships are a great way to 'meet the neighbors' in our community and celebrate their successes. We
proudly have sponsored Canada Day in Kanata 2005, Goulborn Rams Major Atom A Hockey Team since
2006, participated in the Nortel Dragon Boat Festival since 2006, provided a scholarship to Studio de
danse Danielle in 2007, and have committed to build a private room in the new wing of the Elisabeth
Bruyere Hospice in 2009.
A small but meaningful Christmas tradition... each year we commission a new Ottawa artist to design our
company holiday cards. We are delighted with the results and are always happy to show their work to our
networks of suppliers, clients, friends and family. See 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007.
